We just released the second major update for Arcadia Fallen! —Please read below for the full details

Japanese Language Support
We are happy to announce that Arcadia Fallen is now available in Japanese! Adding localization to the game has been a huge undertaking by the team, but a year after the game's initial release it is finally ready! To everyone who's been waiting, thank you so much for your patience and we hope you'll enjoy our game!
Game Improvements
- The game now features a splash screen on start up, so players won't wait on a white screen indefinitely if their computer is taking a while to load the game.
- The text log now better reflects how a character looked at the time an entry was logged.
- Controls for turning a wheel in the alchemy table counterclockwise is no longer displayed when the player is not mixing ingredients, as this was causing some confusion for players while they were placing ingredients into the table.
- Using back/return actions when choices are displayed for the map of the town will now close the choices and return players to the location selection.
- Improved location indication for the town map.
- Improved performance, in particular for scenes with multiple light sources.
- Improved text log layout slightly.
- Improved how light affects characters in a scene, so the white outer line art remains crisp, in particular in darkly lit locations.
- Optimized loading speed and rendering of some character assets.
Error Fixes
- Improved preloading of scene to reduce potential stall time before first dialog is displayed after loading or starting a new game.
- Fixed a rare issue where banter with people not in your party could appear when returning to the map.
- Fixed a potentially rather severe memory leak caused by faulty operation cleanup when a scene was aborted. Say, if the game was waiting for a character to enter before continuing the story when it was aborted, the operation for the character to enter would be cancelled properly, but the waiting operation to continue the story would never be cancelled.
- Fixed an issue with voice over lines for nameless NPCs sometimes not being playable from the text log.
- Fixed an issue where players would sometimes not get to select who to visit, when more characters were at the same location.
- Fixed an issue with portrait not being displayed properly for a character in the text log, if dialog was shown while the character wasn't visible in the scene.
- Fixed a rare issue where the player character would sometimes appear to wear a flower crown in the text log or offscreen portraits, when they shouldn’t.
- Fixed an issue with incorrect tone label for a choice in chapter 2.
- Fixed an issue where a potion would have an incorrect description during the tutorial.
- Fixed an issue where controller glyphs could be displayed incorrectly after closing the game menu.
- Fixed an issue with act titles and sub titles not being properly aligned to the center of the screen.
- Fixed an issue where the choice header would sometimes appear when it shouldn't.
- Fixed an issue where the same screen size could appear in the selection multiple times for graphical options.
- Fixed an issue where incorrect controls would be displayed for the alchemy collection, when opened from the game menu.
- Fixed an issue where the extras menu could incorrectly change its width on screens that did not have a 16:9 aspect ratio.
- Fixed an issue where ingredients would sometimes do a double shake when selected using a controller.
- Fixed a rare issue where the player character could enter the scene with an incorrect appearance at the start of a scene.
- Fixed a rare issue where loading a game could cause characters to enter the scene with incorrect poses and expressions, or the wrong townsfolk would enter the scene.
- Fixed an issue on Linux where the logo animation sound would sometimes play without the video being displayed, on start up.
